MCO race school instructors: Please do not register here; please contact the race school organizer for further details at Cliquez ici                                  Run Groups: There will be three run groups with a maximum of 20 cars per group.       A - Novice Drivers with Little or no Calabogie Track Experience. If you’ve had less than 3 days          at Calabogie you will need to be signed  off by an instructor or an administrator to Solo          (drive alone)     B - Intermediate More Experienced Drivers/ Slower Race Cars     C - Advanced Instructors/ Advanced Drivers / Quicker Race Cars   There will be instructors available for novice drivers. Drivers may be moved into a different run group at the organizers discretion.      Car information;          All cars must pass the Calabogie Motorsports Park sound check          - cars must not exceed 92DB's.  Street cars must be roadworthy All convertible cars must be equipped with CASC-OR Solo sprint specification roll over protection. *see below. All registrants must present a completed technical inspection form. Self declared and signed forms will be accepted but it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that all cars be inspected by a qualified certified mechanic. A list of MCO recommended inspection garages are on the form. The form is available by clicking on this 2010-MCOTechForm. Race cars shall present their log book with 2010 annual inspection stamp. Sorry, no open wheel cars.   Safety Equipment: Helmets must conform to the following requirements- SA2000, M2000, SA2005 or M2005. A small number of helmets are available for rent through MCO for $10. Ask ahead to reserve one if you do not have a helmet. No other safety apparel is required for street car drivers. No shorts or open toe shoes are permissible either in cars or in the hot pit (grid area). Race car drivers will require proper CASC safety apparel while on track.   Safety and etiquette rule:  There will be a 3 Strike rule for violators regarding off track excursions, passing infringements, and general bad driving as determined by the organizers and the track marshals.  Strike 1 = verbal warning Strike 2 = verbal warning + Missed session(s) and/or ride along with instructor Strike 3 = Ejection from the event.   All participants will sign the track and insurance waivers. Property damage and/or damage to the track including repairs needed for guardrails are the responsibility of the participant.     Planned Schedule: approximate, may change slightly.  07h00-08h30 Registration and sound check 08h30-08h45 Mandatory Driver's Meeting 09h00-12h30 lapping by group Lunch 13h00-13h15 Mandatory Driver's Meeting 13h30-17h00 lapping by group    Location: The lapping day will take place on the full track at Calabogie Motorsports Park, 1 hour west of Ottawa.   From Ottawa: Highway 417 West, continue past Arnprior approx 7 kilometres; Turn left onto Calabogie Road (Hwy 508) to Calabogie. As you enter Calabogie turn left on Highway 511. Four kilometres out of Calabogie turn left on Wilson Farm Road. The facility is 2 kilometres down the Wilson Farm Road.   From Toronto: Highway 401 East to Belleville Take the 3rd exit which is Hwy 37 N and follow through Tweed to Hwy 7 Turn right on Hwy 7 and follow to 1st set of traffic lights at Perth Turn left onto Highway 511and follow almost to Calabogie. Turn right onto Wilson Farm Road. The facility is 2 kilometres down the Wilson Farm Road.   From Montreal: Follow Highway 40 West to Hwy 417 at border and continue to Ottawa. Highway 417 West, continue past Arnprior approx 7 kilometers; Turn left onto Calabogie Road (Hwy 508) to Calabogie. As you enter Calabogie turn left on Highway 511. Four kilometers out of Calabogie turn left on Wilson Farm Road. The facility is 2 kilometres down the Wilson Farm Road.     Special Information for Convertible Owners: There are special requirements for owners of convertibles who wish to participate at MCO track events. In the interest of maintaining a safe and fun event, MCO requires that all open cars have adequate roll over protection installed, as per our CASC licenced scrutineers who have experience with race cars and safety. If you want to participate at the event with a convertible you should contact the organizers, and arrange to have your roll over protection inspected, or if you do not have any installed, you can talk with our scrutineers to understand what is required for our events, and we can suggest a solution which fits your needs as well as our requirements. A general rule, to be acceptable for MCO Lapping events, and driving schools, any roll over protection in a convertible, must meet the CASC-OR Solo I regulations at casc.on.ca/uploadedFiles/2010_SoloSprint_Rules100207161600.pdf     Cancellation Policy: Should you need to cancel your registration for the lapping day the MCO will gladly refund the registration fee minus an administration fee of $50.00 if you send your cancellation request within 30 days of the event. Registrants may choose to move their registration to another lapping day. Any other cancellation requests will be reviewed individually.
