Plant
On the BC Day holiday Monday we will again
host a private tour of the 747, 757, 767 assembly plant
in Everett WA.
.We take the freeway down, and
the scenic roads back.
No charge for the plant
tour.
Restrictions apply
There is a minimum
height requirement of 127 cm or 4'2" (50 inches) that may
affect children.
No open toed shoes or sandals, it is
recommended ladies were slacks.
Due to security at the
plant, id and proof of citizenship may be
required.
Optional lunch after the tour. We will take
the scenic roads home via Whidbey Island with a lunch stop.
This includes a short ferry ride to cross from Everett to

BMWs (51 cars in total) with 87 people attended
this annual fun event in celebration of the founding
of our club.
This year we have worked with
the hotel to have our own buffet and room at a
special rate.

THere is no event sign up fee, but
there is the cost for the buffet lunch at The Harrison
Hotel. Buffet Lunch cost is $21.95 plus GST and
gratuity. Each participant is responsible for their
own lunch costs.

at the Custer Rest Stop just south of the border on
I-5.

6th Annual BMW Car Club of BC - Private Tour
of the Boeing Assembly plant in Everett
WA
The tour is on the BC Day Monday
August 2, 2004
Over the years this has
become a popular well attended
event.
Thanks to club contacts we are able
to get a private tour of the Boeing assembly Plant
in Everrett WA.
After a drive down t-5 to the
plant, Boeing meets us with a tour bus and takes
us on a private guided tour that is much better than
the tour you get if you go to the tour
center.
Minimum height for kids is 4’-2”
(127cm) Dress and footwear restrictions also
apply and members must provide citizenship info
(similar to border crossing info).
There is
no cost for the plant tour, but we make a lunch stop
on Whibey Island as a part of the scenic return trip,
so there are lunch costs and a ferry crossing to
budget for.

7th Annual BMW Car Club of BC Duffey Lake
Road Tour
Two day road trip of the BC
South Coastal Mountain range.
This is a
great outing for drivers as the trip includes some of
the best driver’s roads as well as great
scenery.
Approx 800km of driving over two
days. 1500m of elevation change as you trek
through a variety of roads and climate from the
coast mountains to the interior plateau and back to
the coast in a circle tour.
Overnight stay is
in Merritt with a BBQ dinner

event, but you are responsible for hotel and meal

This is an excellent family
event and a wonderful way to meet and greet lots
of members and show your BMW to both fellow
members and the public in the beautiful setting at

3rd Annual BMW Car Club of BC Mount Baker Day
trip. This year we have changed the lunch stop
to a BBQ style burger lunch at a vacation stop area
along the Mt
Baker Highway.
The drive to the alpine
meadows at an elevation of near 6000 ft is quite
exhilarating.
Be prepared for US customs
crossing, bring some money for a BBQ burger type
lunch, and also be advised that the US forest
Service charges a $5US fee to park and stay at the
alpine meadows for an extened
period.

the track at Portland International Raceway under
the guidance of the qualified instructors at Driving
Unlimited..
As you know the folks from DU
are true enthusiasts, and they have made this day

be involved in the endurance race on the weekend
at PIR and thy have arranged this Wednesday for
BMW club and others to participate in.

Details: A fun scenic day drive ending

all on paved roads in the Fraser Valley. Lunch stop is at the Mission
Springs Brewing Company Restaurant which has great food on the
menu and also will have a Sunday brunch available for us.
Suitable for the entire family, this is a relatively low cost fun outing.

challenges your driving and navigation skills as you strive to stay on
course, be accurate and on time. Lots of fun.

required, and your registration is for both the Thursday evening virtual
rally school and the Sunday Rally.
Event Fee: $24.95 per rally,
or $39.90 for both spring rallies April 24 and May 15 if you pay for
both with one registration

A two or three day circle tour that head up the sunshine coast, than over to Vancouver Island and then returns back to Vacnouver.

Details: A multi day tour of the Island and Sunshine Coast.
Karen Morris has planned an excellent tour that start folks off on the Island with a Friday evening start to head to the Island.
After exploring destinations on the Island on Saturday, the group heads to the Sunshine coast with an overnight stay in Lund on Saturday, and then a Sunday drive home down the sunshine coast.
Group room blocks have been arranged in Parksville and Lund, but you need to make your own hotel reservations at these locations:

The BMW CCBC has arranged a Tech Demo Session with the folks at Dents Unlimited on the evening of Mon. Jun 13th (7PM start for 1 1/2hrs or so). We will be capping the attendance at 20-25 people.

7th Annual BMW Car Club of BC - Private Tour of the Boeing Assembly plant in Everett WA
The tour is planned for the BC Day Monday August 1, 2005
Over the years this has become a popular well attended event.
Thanks to club contacts we are able to get a private tour of the Boeing assembly Plant in Everrett WA.
After a drive down t-5 to the plant, Boeing meets us with a tour bus and takes us on a private guided tour that is much better than the tour you get if you go to the tour center.
Minimum height for kids is 4’-2” (127cm) Dress and footwear restrictions also apply and members must provide citizenship info (similar to border crossing info).
There is no cost for the plant tour, but we make a lunch stop on Whibey Island as a part of the scenic return trip, so there are lunch costs and a ferry crossing to budget for.

8th Annual BMW Car Club of BC Duffey Lake Road Tour
Two day road trip of the BC South Coastal Mountain range.
This is a great outing for drivers as the trip includes some of the best driver’s roads as well as great scenery.
Approx 800km of driving over two days. 1500m of elevation change as you trek through a variety of roads and climate from the coast mountains to the interior palteau and back to the coast in a circle tour.

CG Motorsports is hosting this Ladies Tech session to familiarize you with the care and feeding of your BMW.
Session will be informative and is suitble for all, and yes, ladies can bring their spouse/partner significant other along for the session. No technical experience needed and a great opportunity to learn more about your car and its care, and CG has very kindly offered to provide the coffee and pastries for registered guests. Likely to run around 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
There are a number of facilities in the nearby Ironwood Plaza should members wish to adjurn for lunch after the session. (...and a big Canadian Tire to browse)

Co-hosted by the BMW, Porsche and Mercedes Club's in BC
A fun day out with fellow German Car Enthusiasts.
Event start and meeting location this year is 9:30am at the parking lot at Cypress Bowl Park and after a short drive ends up with a display of the cars at Waterfront Park.

8th Annual BMW Car Club of BC - Club Tour of the Boeing Assembly plant in Everett WA
The tour is planned for the BC Day Monday August 7, 2006
Over the years this has become a popular well attended event.
In past years we are able to get a private tour of the Boeing assembly Plant in Everrett WA.
Unfortunately this years tour will be different, as the airline that supported the club no longer has office as staff at Boeing.
However, that will not stop us for continuing the tour and having a great outing.
After a drive down t-5 to the plant, this year we will be heading to the Boeing tour center and Future of Flight Center.
We'll partake in a group tour just for our group of hte plant and the museum. There is a cost to this tour, and prices are listed below and need to be paid via this Karelo link to reseve your spot.

9th Annual BMW Car Club of BC Duffey Lake Road Tour
Two day road trip of the BC South Coastal Mountain range.
This is a great outing for drivers as the trip includes some of the best driver’s roads as well as great scenery.
Approx 800km of driving over two days. 1500m of elevation change as you trek through a variety of roads and climate from the coast mountains to the interior palteau and back to the coast in a circle tour.
Overnight stay is in Merritt where we are working on plans for a group dinner

5th Annual BMW Car Club of BC Mount Baker Day trip.
After a drive to the Alpine Meadows half way up Mt Baker, we head back down for lunch at one of the restaurants along the Mt Baker Highway.
The drive to the alpine meadows at an elevation of near 5100 ft is quite exhilarating with lots of switchback for you and your BMW to enjoy.
Be prepared for US customs Crossing at the border, bring some money for the lunch, or bring your own lunch and have it on the mountain. Please be advised that the US forest Service charges a $5US fee to park and stay at the alpine meadows for an extended period.

9th Annual BMW Car Club of BC Concours and Heritage Celebration Event.
Join us at Waterfront Park on Sunday August 27th for our 9th Annual Concours and Heritage Celebration.
This is an excellent family event and a wonderful way to meet and greet lots of members and show your BMW to both fellow members and the public in the beautiful setting at Waterfront Park.
Simply wash your BMW and attend the event in the display category and enjoy the day. Your entry fee will net you a dash plaque and poster, and a chance to participate in the prize draws
For the more competitive members, get the Q-Tips out and enter the Judged Category and a chance at one of the trophies available in 10 judging categories.
Pre-registration is mandatory for Judged cars, and is optional for display cars.
Event dash plaques are available to the first 60 registered entries.
There will be a food vendor, corporate sponsor displays and prize draws for those who have registered.

Join us for a tour of wineries in the Okanagan
Our 2006 Okanagan Wineries Tour includes a Saturday bus tour and wine tasting at 4-5 wineries. After the tasting tour of the wineries we return to our host hotel and then head to the Convention Centre next to the hotel for the Sips and Dips Wine Tasting event (food wine and live music).
The Days Inn has offered us a great group rate package deal for or members which includes your overnight stay with a continental breakfast, a complimentary wine basket (per room) and your ticket(s) to the “Sips and Dips” event at the Convention Centre. Hello!
On behalf of the BMW Car Club of British Columbia, I would like to
congratulate you for choosing to become a part of our family. My name
is Adam, I am a member of the Board of Directors, and I am at your service.
When I first joined the club, I really didn’t know what I had gotten
myself into. Sure, there were the print newsletters as well as our
website that reported on past events as well as advertised upcoming
ones, so I had some ideas. However, it wasn’t until my first event, 2
months after joining, where I finally met some veteran club members as
well as members of the Board of Directors, and gotten to talk to them
at length about their experiences with various events, did I realise
just how much fun I would be having over the next year.
From that experience, I firmly believe that despite how good our
newsletters and our website are at conveying information, there is no
better advertisement for our club, and for the things we do as a club,
than actual club members who have been there and done that. That is
why I am hosting a pilot project specifically catered to new members
such as you, for us to informally get together, meet some of us
face-to-face, and find out what we are doing in the upcoming months,
straight from those who have been there and loved every minute of it.
At the meeting, I, along with other members of the Board, will
officially welcome you to the club, and then do a short presentation
on our planned upcoming events over the next few months. Then, stay
around, enjoy the refreshments, mingle with fellow new members, and we
will be available for more information about the drives and the driver
training programs.
After all, our club exists because of the events we run, and the
events cannot happen without participation from new members such as
you. Hopefully with this gathering, we can give you a better idea of
what the club is about, how we are like, and which events you will
like to plan ahead and attend.

You will also need to budget for your costs to get to Portland and back including for most an overnight stay.
Restrictions apply, as participants must have previous advance skills sign off from their local club.

Join us for the last day drive of the 2006 driving and events season with our annual Fall Fahrt Ins Blaue Day Drive.

Details: A fun scenic day drive ending in a lunch stop for an opportunity to socialize and chat with fellow club members. Drives can be up to about 120km and is about 1-1/2 - 2 hours all on paved roads in the Fraser Valley. Lunch stop is at the Mission Springs Brewing Company Restaurant which has great food on the menu and also will have a Sunday brunch available for us.
Suitable for the entire family, this is a relatively low cost fun outing.

BMW Club Winter Karting Challenge at TBC Indoor Karting
A dedicated club karting session of up to an hour for our club members to have a fun set of on track challenges at TBC Indoor Karting.

Join us for the start of the 2007 driving and events season with our annual Frühling (spring) Fahrt Ins Blaue Day Drive.

Meeting Location: Guildford North Lot, 105 Ave at 152 St next to the Chevron
Details: A fun scenic day drive ending in a lunch stop for an opportunity to socialize and chat with fellow club members. The drive covers about 120km and is about 1-1/2 - 2 hours all on paved roads in the Fraser Valley. Lunch stop is at the Mission Springs Brewing Company Restaurant which has great food on the menu and also will have a Sunday brunch available for us.
Suitable for the entire family, this is a relatively low cost fun outing.

A full day of advanced skills development at Portland International Raceway under the guidance of the qualified instructors at Driving Unlimited.
As you know the folks from DU are true enthusiasts, and they have made this day available to qualified club members and friends.
By popular demand from our advanced skills students, Tony, Danny and Melanie of the DU team have arranged this Monday for qualified participants from the BMW Car Club of BC and other enthusiast clubs.
Fee for the event is $350 CDN
You will also need to budget for your costs to get to Portland and back including for most an overnight stay.
Restrictions apply, as participants must have previous advance skills sign off from their local club.

Our friends at Driving Unlimited are partners in Airport Day at the Pitt Meadows regional airport.
On this Sunday Aust 12, the airport hosts this special day, and club members are invited to participate by displaying their cars in the Wings and Wheels Car and Airplane show, and also participating in the many activities that will be available.
Driving Unlimited is sponsoring trophies.
There is a separate entrance for the cars off Baynes Road straight on the apron. The cars can come in anytime up to 10 am, and the day is over sometime after 3pm, although they can leave whenever they have to.
Great family event, and members with kids they should bring them along, as there are free airplane rides for the kids. There are also some really good remote control airplane and jet shows, various fly by's of vintage aircraft and of course various aircraft will be on display.

10th Annual BMW Car Club of BC Duffey Lake Road Tour
Two day road trip of the BC South Coastal Mountain range.
This is a great outing for drivers as the trip includes some of the best driver's roads as well as great scenery.
Approx 800km of driving over two days. 1500m of elevation change as you trek through a variety of roads and climate from the coast mountains to the interior palteau and back to the coast in a circle tour.
Overnight stay is in Merritt where we will enjoy a great country BBQ dinnebr>

Our 2007 Okanagan Wineries Tour includes a Saturday Top Cat bus tour and wine tasting at 4 wineries along the Naramata Road including lunch. After the tasting tour of the wineries we return to our host hotel and then you can opt to participate in various Wine Festival events (food wine and live music).

Spring Fahrt Ins Blaue
Join us for the start of the 2008 driving and events season with our annual Frühling (spring) Fahrt Ins Blaue Day Drive.
Date: Sunday March 16, 2008
Time: 9:30am to 9:50am meet and assemble
10:00am sharp departure for the drive
Meeting Location: Coquitlam Centre 2929 Barnet Highway, Coquitlam in the Parking area in front of Future Shop
Details: A fun scenic day drive that includes a lunch stop for an opportunity to socialize and chat with fellow club members. The drive is different than normal FIB routes, and it a pre test drive for a tour our club will be hosting for the Intenational Council folks coming to Vancouver in September.
Suitable for the entire family, this is a relatively low cost fun outing.
Registration via Karelo or other RSVP is requested so we can plan for space and advise the restaurant of how many folks to expect. |

BMW Car Club of BC Skills Challenge- Driver Training Session
Sunday April 20, 2008 at British Columbia Driving Center at Pitt Meadows Airport
A full day of 'dancing with cones' and of Skills practicing and challenge fun for BMW Car Club of BC members and other car enthusiasts who have previously taken a Car Control session. This is basically a full day of skills practice on a slalom course with Driving Unlimited instrucotrs on hand to cover important basic safety skills and provide feedback and coaching.
Session includes on site catered lunch.

We've discovered a wonderful local vintage and old cars collection, and will take this day to go explore it. Entry cost to view is $10 [owner donates proceeds to charity]
Date: Sunday April 27th, 2007
Meeting Location: 100800 No.5 Road, Richmond, [parking lot of what used to be Fantasy Garden World Richmond]
Meeting time: meet from 9:30am to 10:00am when we will depart for the drive to get to the car collection location with an interesting photo op along the way.
We expect to arrive for the viewing by 11am for a 2 hour tour.
There's about 140 vehicles! Plus lots of auto memorabilia Juke boxes and other mechanical musical boxes.
We've planned a lunch stop at O'Hare's Pub at Steveston and Railway in Richmond to follow the viewing. |

BMW Car Club of BC Celebrates the completion of 10 years since founding and the start of our 11th year with our 11th Annual Harrison Fun Run.
We always have great turnout for this annual fun event in celebration of the founding of our club.

There is no event sign up fee, but there is the cost for the buffet lunch at The Harrison Hotel. Buffet Lunch cost is about $26.00 which include GST and gratuity. Each participant is responsible for their own lunch costs.

BMW Car Club of BC - Road Skills Driver Training Session
Advance your driving skills with this full day training session held using the closed road course at Mission Raceway Park.
Session requires completion of one of our Car Control sessions. Registrations are subject to verification of having taken a qualifying entry level course, or having met other qualifying prerequisites.
Emphasis of day is on skills exercises for safe road driving learned in a controlled environment with qualified instructors.
Instruction is provided by Driving Unlimited
Event Fees: Course fee is $330. Save by booking before April 30. You can save $30 as our early registration fee is $300 CDN. Early sign up extended to May 4 Fee includes an on site catered lunch.
There will be room for Road Skills novices as well as advanced drivers in this session. Registration is limited to 24 cars

7th Annual German Car Festival
Co-hosted by the BMW, Porsche and Mercedes Club's in BC
A fun day out with fellow German Car Enthusiasts.
Event Fees $10 car entry fee [payable here via Karelo] plus donation of non perishable food item for the Food Bank will be collected day of event
Our sponsors will be providing a great selection prizes to be given away and some other funstuff.
There will also be some vendor displays and our favorite German Hog Dog vendor available for for your food needs.

Details: 9:30AM: Meet and register at Cypress Bowl Parking Lot, any non paid participants will pay there & be given an entrance sticker to be shown at the park gate.
$10 event participation fee (you can pay that via the Karelo link below, and each club is to collect from their own members who show up but did not prepay), plus food donation (bring to park), with all proceeds going to the North Shore Harvest Project.
10:00AM: Drivers meeting for tour drive to Waterfront Park
10:15AM: Depart for parade tour, enter park.
11:00AM - 3:00PM: Vehicle display, entertainment and fun at Waterfront Park, North Vancouver, including the German hot dog guy sp you can have a bratwurst for lunch to go with your car viewing time.

Remember to bring your no perishable food donation as well, which will be collected at the gate when you enter Waterfront Park
