Girls Exploring STEM: Discovery Days

This four day event provides a new way for girls in grades 8-10 to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) fields and learn more about the different options available at the post-secondary level. These “Discovery Days” will run for four days during Spring Break and girls will have the option to sign up for some or all of the days. Each day, participants will be welcomed to SFU’s Burnaby Campus where they will engage with undergraduate and graduate students as well as faculty members, all of whom identify as women in STEM.

Each day will be themed and will feature: a lab tour and associated hands on-activity, a roundtable “living library” discussion, and a talk presenting a current research project in the field. Come explore the endless opportunities that are available in STEM!
