Family Membership 2016/2017

When: Fri, 01-Jul-2016 - Fri, 30-Jun-2017

Cypress Ski Club Family Membership
2016/2017 Season

All families must pay for the Cypress Ski Club family membership and BC Alpine insurance fees prior to paying for the program fees.

The Family Membership is $250.00 which includes the club membership ($180.00),  the BC Alpine insurance for two parents/guardians ($30.00/person) plus registration fees. BC Alpine insurance for the child will be added during the registration process, as insurance fees vary depending on the program they register for.  This is necessary to participate in any club activities including dryland training. It is effective July 1, 2016 until June 30, 2017. Membership fees help to offset administrative costs that the club incurs.

As a second step of your registration you will need to do a Program Registration for your athlete/s. This registration will consist of the program fees and are due prior to involvement of the program.

If you are a one parent/guardian family, please pay the two parent fee, send an e-mail to treasurer(at)cypressskiclub.com and a refund will be issued for the insurance.

Volunteering

As a member of the Cypress Ski Club, every family is expected to volunteer 16 hours towards club activities. Please be reminded that the fees which are paid do not cover many costs that are incurred and therefore as a non-profit club it must rely on volunteers to make the club function and continue to keep costs affordable to all.

There are various categories that you can choose from or you can get in touch with our volunteer coordinator (volunteercoordinator(at)cypressskiclub.com) if you feel there is something that you would like to do. Some duties require some knowledge, ability to ski or training (such as races), while others only require your enthusiasm to help.

Our biggest need for volunteering this year will be if we are fortunate to host a race. Each race requires upwards of 100 people. There will be on and off hill opportunities to help with.

If you have an athlete in U14 or U16 please note that volunteering in the chaperoning process is mandatory. You will be asked by the parent representative to help with a specific task.

Involvement with Cypress Ski Club will make the club more than just a place to teach your child to ski but a place where the whole family can enjoy what skiing and ski racing has to offer and meet others who share this same love of the sport.
