The Conference will follow the format that was adopted in 2015 and 2017. Registration will open on Wednesday afternoon and the Conference will open with a Keynote on Wednesday night, followed by a Welcome reception. Breakout sessions will begin on Thursday morning and run until early Friday afternoon. The Conference will close with a plenary after lunch on Friday.
The cost of registration is as follows:
Early Bird Registration (before July 1st, 2019): $300.00
Presenter Registration: $300.00
Student Registration: $200.00
Full Registration (after July 1st, 2019): $350.00
Registration will close on September 25th unless the event reaches capacity before that date.
A guided tour of Hatley Castle will be available to participants on Friday, October 4th at 2.30pm at a cost of $20.00. This must be purchased at the time of registration and the number of places on the tour is limited.
Other tours of the grounds, in particular, walking tours acknowledging the significance of Hatley Park to Indigenous life and culture, will be advertised on the conference site itself and will be free of charge.
The Gardens remain open to participants throughout the conference unless they are being used for a specific Royal Roads function.
The Program will be published online during the first week of October. The Keynote and Plenary will be announced in spring 2019. We will also host the Canadian launch of the 2019 book edited by Sean Brackley and Katie Novak: “Transforming Higher Education through Universal Design for Learning: An International Perspective” (Routledge, London). Some of the 23 International authors will be present and facilitate a session highlighting their chapters.
