CSC Grand Valley - March 2018 Luncheon Seminar

When: Wed, 21-Mar-2018 11:30 - Wed, 21-Mar-2018 13:30

Where: 25 Sheldon Drive, Cambridge, ON

Meeting Notice – Lunch Seminar
Building Assessment
with guest speaker
Ian Miller, P.Eng., LEED AP, CCCA

Seminar Overview

Nothing lasts forever, including our buildings. As these structures age we must plan for the maintenance and replacement of building components to keep our buildings in good and serviceable condition. Without a plan for capital repairs and maintenance, failures can result in more deterioration, and resultantly, higher capital costs.

For this luncheon seminar, Ian Miller will join us to speak about building assessment and capital planning for the maintenance and upkeep of buildings. He will discuss the various different types of condition assessments and the differences between them, as well as why and how these assessments should be conducted.

About the Presenter

Ian Miller is a Project Principal and the Branch Operations Director for Pretium Anderson’s Waterloo Region office, where he oversees a number of important projects as well as the general operations of the office. Ian is also currently the President of the Ontario Building Envelope Council, a non-profit industry organization dedicated to education regarding the building enclosure.
