Camp Alexandra, Crescent Beach (Map)
MiniCamps are organized and planned by youth members (10-17 years), under the direction of adult leaders, to spread awareness of CISV and our values. This weekend experience gives new and returning members a glimpse into what a national or international experience might be like – and it’s a lot of fun!
Participants will take part in a variety of educational, cultural and fun activities that have been planned by the youth from the chapters Junior Branch. The activities will revolve around a common theme and CISV’s peace education content areas, which are: diversity, human rights, conflict and resolution, and sustainable development.
In line with CISV’s “learning by doing” approach, activities at a MiniCamp are planned and lead by youth of various ages from the chapter’s Junior Branch (JB). The first planning meeting will occur sometime in January. If you want to get involved in the planning, please contact Click here.
When parents arrive on Friday evening, after signing-in your child, come join other CISV parents for a Parent Social and a chance to participate in a youth-led Junior Branch activity with your child. Siblings are also welcome to come on the Friday evening!
