The 2024 Kamloops Exploration Group Conference & Trade Show

The inaugural KEG Conference took place 37 years ago led by a small group of dedicated individuals who were passionate about providing a platform to discuss industry-specific topics and create positive networking opportunities. Today, the KEG Conference has grown to include numerous individuals and businesses and continues to provide an informative and networking-based platform connecting prospectors, geologists, suppliers, manufacturers, and investors alike.

One Day Delegate Pass:

ADDITIONAL ITEMS:

KEG Hockey Game (Monday, April 8, 2024 - 1:15pm to 3:15pm at Valleyview Arena)

Open to registered Delegates to play in this complimentary and fun-based hockey game. Players will notify KEG of their playing ability and position preference and be placed onto one of two individually matched teams. Refs will be present at game.

 

Core Shack Display (Tuesday April 9 & Wednesday April 10, 2024)

(Must register as a Full Delegate to be provided access within following form to register for display space).

Includes:

1x 6' black skirted tables

1x 6' x 4' backboard

2x folding chairs

 

Prospector Display (Tuesday April 9 & Wednesday April 10, 2024)

Women in Mining (South Central) Celebrating Women in Trades - Wine Social (Tuesday April 9, 2024 - 4:00pm to 5:30pm - Romeo's Kitchen + Spirits Studio

(Must be 19yrs+ to attend. Open to all (women and men).

Join fellow Delegates at this networking-based event focused on connecting, empowering, and identifying women in trades. This anticipated annual event is open to everyone 19yrs+ to attend. Enjoy a glass of wine and network with fellow KEG 2024 Conference attendees.

 

Banquet (Tuesday April 9, 2024 - 6:30pm - Coast Hilltop Room)

(Must be registered as a Delegate to sign up and attend. This person may then purchase additional tickets under their order for accompanying staff, spouse etc)

Come gather among fellow geologists, prospectors, manufacturers, and more for an evening of entertainment. The evening will consist of welcoming remarks, awards, buffet dinner, and table vs table trivia entertainment. 

 

Short Course

Please note KEG will not be offering a Short Course at the 2024 event.

 

Field Trip:

Thursday, April 11, 2024
7:30am to 4:30pm* (tour may end at 3:30pm depending on how daily schedule at site goes)
Price: $60.00

KEG is pleased to announce that we will be offering a Field Trip (maximum 16 Delegates) to the New Afton Mine Site. This field trip will include return transportation via bus to and from New Afton*, a bagged lunch (including a sandwich, piece of fruit, bottle of water, treat), and a guided tour (Mill/Surface/Exploration Core Shack Tour).

Please note the following items are required for this tour*:

• steel-toed boots
• long sleeved tops (no hooded tops and/or jackets)
• long pants

*Steel-toed boots are required, however, if necessary may be borrowed from New Afton for those in need.

Restrictions:

• This tour is only available to registered Delegates of the 2024 KEG Conference.
• All employees, contractors, and visitors must comply with New Afton's Respiratory Protection Policy which requires that any personnel entering PPE areas must have a clean-shaven face in order to obtain a proper seal when wearing a respirator if necessary. There are guidelines available for acceptable mustaches (no beards will be allowed); please reach out if clarification is required.

 

Cancellation Policy & Refunds:

Prior to and including March 22, 2024, any cancellation will be assessed a $75 CDN administrative fee. There will be no refunds for canceled registrations after March 22, 2024 unless The Kamloops Exploration Group is forced to alter max capacity or cancel event due to causes beyond its control.

Should the Kamloops Exploration Group be forced to alter max capacity or cancel the event due to causes beyond its control, Delegates will be contacted in sequential order based on time of booking and asked whether they wish to keep or release their registration.

Delegates will be contacted by the Kamloops Exploration Group until the set max capacity number has been reached by those wishing to keep their registration. After max capacity has been fulfilled, registrations slated for release and all remaining registrations will be canceled and funds returned with the exception of a $75CDN administrative fee.
