Let's try riding through Elk Island National Park again since June 10 was cancelled due to a scary winds.   On these Friday rides, we group up regularly. 

Location: Meet at the Visitor Information Centre, just off Hwy 16 in Elk Island National Park, for a 10:00 a.m. start.  Bring your Park pass if you have one or bring $2.50 in change in case we need to buy one for the day ($17 for 7 adults).  Also bring snacks/lunch as well as water as there are no food trucks during the week, and limited snacks chocolate bars) at the Visitor Centre.  

Description: We'll ride the scenic main road through the Park, and group up at the Astotin Lake picnic area.  We'll then ride to Hwy 15 (near Lamont), group up and turn back..  On our return, we'll again have a break at the Astotin Lake picnic area before riding back to the Visitor Centre.  Total distance - 50 km.   For those seeking to ride a longer distance, the return includes the option of cycling to the West Gate before returning to the main road.    No RWGPS route for this straightforward out and back ride.
