Ride Description: Hub and Spoke
Itinerary:
Day 1 Fri. May 24 – 50 km Dino Trail Route, 400m elevation gain over two climbs
Day 2 Sat. May 25 – 46 km East Coulee and Wayne Last Chance Saloon Route
5:30-10:15pm Rosebud Theatre “Chariots of Fire”
Day 3 Sun. May 26 - 36km to Horseshoe Canyon and back, with an optional ride to
Rosebud (total ride of 74km)
Daily out and back rides with group-up points along the route. This is a no-drop ride, but there will be no sag wagon available. Meet up points include some scenic locations.
Rides planned are in the 36 to 72 km range with total elevation gains of up to 400m. If the conditions (weather, smoke) are not suitable for cycling, Drumheller is home to the Tyrrell Museum and boasts many other tourist attractions nearby.
Accommodations and Food: These are the responsibility of cyclists and are to be reserved/booked and paid by participants (Hotels, camp site, B&B, snacks and meals). A group dinner will be planned for Friday night and a group lunch at Wayne for Saturday
Rosebud Theatre: Saturday, May 25 evening performance (&buffet)
Participants have the option of purchasing tickets for the last performance of "Chariots of Fire" at the Rosebud Dinner Theatre. Seating is between 5:30 and 6:30 with Dinner being served until 7:30pm. The show starts at 8 pm and runs until about 10:15. The Theatre is about 28km (30 minute drive) from Drumheller. Tickets are $96 per person which includes a buffet supper. Tickets without the buffet are $64 per person. Tickets are non-refundable.

Riding Conditions: All routes are on paved roads except Day #1 has a short portion (up to 500m) of gravel near the Bleriot Ferry rest area. Cyclists may choose to walk this portion.
