Activity Summary:
The upcoming site visit to the Sen̓áḵw development will provide architects with an overview of one of Vancouver’s most significant high-density residential projects. The tour is expected to highlight the project’s design approach, construction progress, and key technical aspects, including mass timber implementation, sustainability strategies, and urban integration. Attendees will gain practical insights into the coordination between design and development, as well as the challenges and opportunities associated with large-scale, transit-oriented communities.
Objectives:
- Understand the design vision and planning principles behind the Sen̓áḵw high-density development.
- Identify key construction methods and materials.
- Explore sustainability strategies and their integration into large-scale urban residential projects.
- Examine the coordination between architects, developers, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
- Recognize the challenges and opportunities associated with transit-oriented, high-density community development.

Rogrigo Alessio Robles - Real Estate Development Manager at Nch'kay
Rodrigo Alessio Robles is an architect and Real Estate Development Manager at Nch’ḵaỷ Development Corporation in Vancouver. With a multidisciplinary background spanning architecture, development, and business strategy, Rodrigo brings a comprehensive approach to delivering complex real estate projects. He currently leads and supports development initiatives with a focus on project management, planning, and execution, contributing to the growth of impactful and community-oriented developments. In parallel, Rodrigo is a Course Instructor at Langara College, where he shares his expertise in real estate development, and customer service within the residential sector.
NOTE: THE BUILDING IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
Participants must bring their own safety glasses, steel toed boots, hard hats and safety vests. Participants may bring dust mask at their discretion. Failure to come equipped with safety gear will exclude participants from the tour.
Participants will be required to sign waiver sheets. If you are not prepared to sign, please leave space for others.
