Hill Tops and Coffee Shops - Mood Café (Belgravia)
Quand: Mar, 16-Jun-2026 10:00 - Mar, 16-Jun-2026 12:00
Où: Mood Cafe 7601-115 Street, Edmonton, AB
Hill Tops and Coffee Shops is an intermediate fitness ride that combines the best of Edmonton hill training and coffee-shop culture, capitalizing on our beautiful river valley and ravines. The routes are mostly along paved multi-use paths and local roads, linking together a series of climbs in and out of the river valley.
This week, the ride starts, due to parking restrictions, in Belgravia on Saskatchewan Drive south of 74 Avenue, and finishes at Mood Cafe (7601 - 115 Street). It will challenge us with about 360 m of elevation gain over a distance of about 32 km. We will use RWGPS for navigation, but for the most part, the group will stay together as each hill is conquered. RWGPS map is here.
Please Note: There is ONLY 2-hour parking available near Mood Cafe. If you drive, the recommended parking location (and the meeting point to start the ride), is on Saskatchewan Drive, south of 74 Avenue. Here is a link to a map of the parking/meeting/start location.
After the ride, you can either ride to Mood Cafe and park your bike outside, or return your bike to your vehicle and drive to Mood Cafe, as there is 2-hour parking nearby (which should be ample time for coffee).
Your bike can be a well-maintained road, hybrid, gravel, or mountain bike, with well-functioning brakes and a bell. This ride is not intended for e-bikes.
Group size is capped at 12, to respect the capacity of the coffee shops. Guest riders welcome if registrations are not full. (Please check with ride leader, bring signed waiver, and host your guest.)
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to ride time and be ready for the pre-ride briefing 10 minutes before ride time.
Each week, locations and start times vary, so please read ride descriptions carefully.
