These Friday rides are no drop (meet up at corners, stop signs, etc.).  We also plan a break and time to socialize during or after the ride.  Pedal assist ebikes are welcome.

Location:  Meet behind the Esso/Tim Hortons at Lessard Rd. and 199 St. (that's west of the Anthony Henday) at 9:45 for a 10:00 a.m. start. 

Description:  We'll ride to the U of A Garden's outdoor Patio Cafe on Hwy. 60 for lunch/snack.  Bring money for a drink and lunch/snack and hydration for the ride.  Also bring a bike lock.

The group will start south on the bike path along 199 St. to the rural roads and then west to the  Woodbend Community Centre.  At that point, we'll have 2 distance options for the group or two subgroups:  44 km which will take us past Bunchberry Meadows for a pit stop;  50 km which goes around Blackhawk estates.  With both, we end up riding west on Graminia Rd. and north on the wide shoulder of Hwy. 60 to  the Gardens.  We return via Woodbend Rd. and the bike path.
