Where: Elk Island Visitor Centre, Strathcona County, AB
Elk Island ride and bring your own picnic. 49k at 20KPH.
Today we meet at the visitors centre at 10:45 for an 11:00 start. We will ride on our well-maintained bike through the park toward Lamont. We will take a short stop at the lake on our way back, photo opt. We can enjoy our picnic at the visitors centre where there are tables and washrooms. I am not sure if admission is free or not but do bring along a pass if you have one. I have a family pass and I can bring in 7 riders. If bringing a guest please make sure to have the waiver filled out and signed. If you are unable to make the ride, please cancel with Karelo.
This is a no-drop ride. We will re-group regularly. RWGPS route maps will not be needed but may be available
Bring your well-maintained road, hybrid or whatever bike, including pedal assist e-bike, but no throttle e-bikes as per club policy.
