We will do longer distance social rides with stops to chat/regroup at predetermined locations. Longer routes will have consideration for midpoint snack break, either roadside or a designated rest area (i.e. Tim Hortons). Although these are not training rides, we will move along at a moderate pace sufficient to cover the distances.

Another small increase in distance to 67 km this week. Today’s ride is the ”RIDE FOR FRIES“ Villeneuve to Onoway and return via the hamlet of Calahoo, Total elevation gain for this ride is 467m. Some of the best rolling hills west of Edmonton are found on this route   A planned lunch break will be held at the Burger Baron for “FRIES” if wished.  We will roll east to the Calahoo store for one more rest stop to pick up some “Lucky Mike Lotto Tickets” if wished, before ascending the final hills back to Villeneuve.

Please arrive with your mechanically sound bike 15 minutes prior to ride start for an opportunity to meet and greet, participate in the ride briefing, and ask any questions you may have. Please note: These rides are designated as no drop rides, but it is expected that riders remain in visual contact with each other and be able to navigate with Ride with GPS if required.

Per Club policy e-bikes (pedal assist) are welcome.
