Join us in our inaugural intermediate social overnight trip exploring the C and E trail north and south.  Each participant is welcome to bring a well maintained road or gravel bike or a pedal assist E-bike. NOTE:   there is NO van support.

This is a ride where all participants are responsible for organizing their own accommodations, food and transportation. Each day will be a meet up arriving at the designated time and meet up location.

ITINERARY

Day 1 Tuesday June 16. Distance approx 55 km. Drive to Lacombe's Memorial Centre at 5214-50 Avenue, arriving at 10 am for a cycling start of 10:30 am. Follow the C & E trail through fields and parks, over a bridge and through Blackfalds. Ride to Red Deer for a picnic lunch (which YOU will bring with you) at Three Mile Bend Park (bathroom facilities available here). Return to Lacombe via same route.

Drive to Red Deer to your accommodations (hotel or campground) - as arranged by you.  You may want to choose a hotel on the south end (by Gasoline Alley) so that you are close to the restaurant for the group supper and the start of the ride the next day.

Meet for a group dinner at 6:30 pm at Cilantro and Chive on the south end of Red Deer.

Day 2 Wednesday June 17.  Distance approx 60 km. Meet at Gasoline Alley Farmer's Market, corner of Lantern Street and Laura Avenue at 9:30 am for a 10 cycling start. Ride C & E trail to Innisfail along country roads with some hills. Lunch stop is at The Coffee Cottage, 5112 - 49 Avenue, Innisfail (homemade soups, sandwiches, buns and cookies). Return to Red Deer using a slightly different route.
