Join IABC/Toronto for an evening of celebration, conversations, and connection with Madelyn Chung, our 2025 Communicator of the Year (COTY)!

Since 1997, IABC/Toronto’s COTY Award has recognized a Greater Toronto Area executive whose demonstrated leadership and communications skills drive business results or have had a substantially positive influence on the community. The Communicator of the Year is not necessarily in a communication role; however, the recipient of the award is someone who uses the power of communication to deepen understanding, inspire action and transform their community.

This year, IABC/Toronto is pleased to announce that Madelyn Chung, Founder of the RepresentASIAN Project and Registered Psychotherapist, has been named our 2025 Communicator of the Year.

Madelyn is a trailblazer in advocacy, storytelling and mental health, credited with amplifying Asian North American voices across multiple platforms and industries. Through her work across media, mental health, advocacy and identity-affirming storytelling, Madelyn is creating space for healing, representation and meaningful social and cultural change.

Join us to felicitate Madelyn and listen to her as she takes you behind the scenes of her journey so far. This ceremony is a great opportunity for business communicators to get together, find inspiration in the COTY winner’s journey and celebrate communication excellence!
