Seminar Overview

In this seminar, you will get answers to the following relevant questions:

  • What does it mean to the Designer, Contractor and Manufacturer?
  • How to use it and why to use it?
  • Where is it applicable?
  • How does it compare to what has been done before?
  • Some of the problems it has in current form.

 

About the Presenter

A graduate of McMaster University with a degree in Geomorphology in 1975, Dave spent 15 years within the steel industry servicing the North American market with sales support for foundation steel products. Primarily deep foundations, shoreline protection and underpinning of commercial projects. The next 10 years as a small business owner in contracting and distribution of cabling, sound and access control systems in the GTA.

Currently working on 17 years within the commercial roofing industry as an employee of IKO Industries Ltd, starting as an architectural representative and culminating in the position of Senior Manager of Codes and Approvals

Member of the CSA Bituminous Roofing Committee, SIGDERS member since 2004, Task group member to ULC for Thermal Insulation and Wood Fiberboard, Co-Chair of the RCI Technical Committee, Chair of the Associates Members  CRCA and sitting member as a Board of Director for the CRCA. I have been heavily involved in the formation of and testing programs surrounding CSA A123.21 for the past 14 years. Member of CSC for 15 years and holder of a CTR designation, RCI member and holder of an RRO for 16 years.
