Skater Registration 2026/27
Welcome to our 2026/2027 season. Registration is ongoing.
If you would like to change, add or remove a session for your skater, please contact Cliquez ici, rather than completing a new registration.
Volunteering Requirements and Volunteer Cheques
Each skating family is required to submit a $250 volunteer cheque dated for March 31, 2027, which will be cashed at the end of the season if volunteer requirements are not fulfilled. Cheques will be collected at the beginning of the season. The skating year and fundraising commitments are broken down into 2 sessions, fall and spring. Skating families are required to volunteer 4 hours or fundraise during each session. (Teen/Adult Skate and Tot Skate do not have volunteer requirements)

Tot Skate Program
Welcome to the Tot Skate Program, an introduction to the world of ice skating for young children aged 3 to 5 years. This program is specifically crafted for little ones who are taking their first steps on the ice, offering a fun and nurturing environment where they can learn essential skating skills through play-based activities.
Program Highlights
- Age Group: Designed for toddlers aged 3-5 years who are new to skating.
- Play-Based Learning: Our approach focuses on playful exercises that captivate young skaters' imaginations while teaching them fundamental skills.
- Skill Development: Children will learn to:
- Balance on the ice
- Move forward and backward
- Fall down safely
- Get up independently
- Build overall confidence and comfort on the ice
Why Choose Tot Skate?
The Tot Skate Program provides an excellent foundation for young skaters, ensuring they develop the confidence and coordination needed for future skating endeavors. It serves as a perfect precursor to the CanSkate program, setting up young skaters for success in more advanced skating techniques in the future.

Tot Skate Program starts Thursday, September 10, 2026; ends Thursday, October 15, 2026 - 6 weeks

CanSkate Program
One or Two Day Option
CanSkate Program is Canada’s only national learn-to-skate program. It was developed by experts to teach the fundamentals of skating in a progressive and sequential manner.
For children 3 and up. Master strong basic skills to prepare skaters for all ice sports – hockey, ringette, speed skating and figure skating. Classes are taught by CanSkate Certified Coaches and supported by trained Program Assistants.
CanSkate Program starts Monday, October 19, 2026; ends Monday, March 15, 2027 - 19 weeks
Registration is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
1 day package (Monday OR Thursday) $230
2 day package (Monday AND Thursday) $400

The Year End Carnival is Friday, March 19, 2027
Teen/Adult Program- Figure Skating Program
The Teen/Adult program is designed for skaters with previous skating experience who wish to enjoy recreational skating, improve their fitness, or further develop their skating skills in a fun and supportive environment. This program is intended for participants who are already comfortable on the ice and is not suitable for those learning to skate for the first time. Prior skating experience is required.
Start Date: Friday September 11, 2026 End Date: Friday March 12, 2027
Sessions include 15 minutes of group time
Private lesson fees will be billed separately on a monthly basis
Friday: 4:45-5:30 pm (24 sessions $260)
Note: Sessions in New Arena for September, then move to the Civic Centre

PreSTAR Program – (Cost varies depending on selected days)
CanSkate Level 4-5. *** Helmets mandatory
Start Date: Wednesday, September 9, 2026 End Date: Wednesday, March 17, 2027
Sessions include on-ice full group lessons & includes Friday Off-ice 3:35-3:50 pm
Carnival Qualification: Skaters will be eligible to participate in one or two group routines in the Carnival, based on the number of skating sessions they attend each week.
Select from the following days. (Suggestion of 2 sessions)
Wednesday: 3:30 - 4:15 pm (24 sessions $370)
Thursday: 2:30 - 3:15 pm (25 sessions $385)
Friday: 4:00 - 4:45 pm (24 sessions $370)
Note: Sessions in New Arena for September, then move to the Civic Centre
Registration includes Christmas Break Ice and Sunday Competition Simulations (TBA)
Junior Program – (Cost varies depending on selected days)
Requirement:
- Must have passed Star 1 Skills and/or completed 1 season in PreSTAR
Carnival Qualification: Skaters will be eligible to participate in one or two group routines in the Carnival, based on the number of skating sessions they attend each week.
Start Date: Wednesday, September 9, 2026 End Date: Wednesday, March 17, 2027
Sessions include on-ice full group lessons & includes Friday Off-ice 3:35-3:50 pm
Select from the following days. (Suggestion of 2 sessions)
Wednesday: 3:30 - 4:15 pm (24 sessions $370)
Thursday: 2:30 - 3:15 pm (25 sessions $385)

Intermediate Program – (Cost varies depending on selected days)
Requirement:
- Star 2 or beginning Star 3 level.
- Attendance at dryland training is strongly encouraged.
Carnival Qualification: Skaters are eligible for small group routines, selection based on the policies manual.
Start Date: Tuesday, September 8, 2026 End Date: Wednesday, March 17, 2027
Sessions include 15 minutes of group time and one off-ice session per week (Wednesday 5:45-6:30)
Private lesson fees will be billed separately on a monthly basis
Select from the following days. (Minimum of 2 sessions)
Monday: 3:45 - 4:45 pm (3:45 - 5:00 in September) (23 sessions $380)
Tuesday: 4:30 - 5:30 pm (26 sessions $410)
Wednesday: 4:15 - 5:30 pm (24 sessions $455)
Thursday: 2:30 - 3:30 (25 sessions $395)
Open Sessions: Monday and Wednesday mornings and Friday afternoons (see Open Session registration to select these sessions)

Senior Program – (Cost varies depending on selected days)
Requirement:
- Must have competed at Star 3/4 level in the previous season.
- Minimum of 3 sessions per week (4 sessions minimum are recommended above Star 5).
- Attendance at dryland training is strongly encouraged.
Carnival Qualification: Skaters are eligible for small group routine or solo (selection is based on criteria listed in policies manual – solo is not guaranteed).
Start Date: Tuesday, September 8, 2026 End Date: Wednesday, March 17, 2027
Sessions include 15 minutes of group time and one off-ice session per week (Wednesday 5:45-6:30)
Private lesson fees will be billed separately on a monthly basis

High Performance Program – (Cost varies depending on selected days)
Requirement:
- Must be competing at Star 4 or above for 2026-2027 season.
- Tuesday is a mandatory session.
- Dryland training is mandatory.
- Skaters missing more than 3 dryland sessions may be moved to senior programming.
Carnival Qualification: Skaters can qualify for a solo if work ethic and attendance are maintained.
Start Date: Tuesday, September 8, 2026 End Date: Wednesday, March 17, 2027
Sessions include 15 minutes of group time and one off-ice session per week (Wednesday 5:45-6:30)
Private lesson fees will be billed separately on a monthly basis

Punch Cards
Available to PreSTAR, Junior, Intermediate, Senior, and High Performance skaters
Punch cards must be used to skate on days for which skaters are not registered.
Please provide at least 7 days' notice if you plan to use a punch card for a skating session. This allows us to plan coaching schedules and ice time effectively.
5 Time Punch Card: $100
